This is for all us girls who love fashion but don't feel that it makes you superficial.

Looks I LOVE
I have recently discovered Pinterest. I sort of feel like, umm I dunno...I'm not the regular "Pinterester". You know, the kind of person that, like, cooks stuff in an oven every night, and loves Do-It-Yourself projects and general Martha Stewart-ish stuff. Not me. But I have noticed there are a few of us on there that love clothes, shoes, bags and all that OTHER fun stuff. Here are some looks that I have found on the site that I am absolutely in LOOOOOVE with:

Apparently I love black skinnies, Dolman tops and sky high heels. Yes, that sounds about right. I also threw together a few looks on Polyvore that incorporate jewel tones that I am loving so much this fall:
I love how the rich pop of colour provides a punch to an all-black outfit and have found that I've been incorporating it into my daily outfits quite a bit lately with a purse, scarf or other fun accessories.

Tattoo me
I love tattoos. I think that it is a unique form of self-expression. The reasons that people get them are numerous. For me, I have found that it is my way of expressing my love for my family and also to show how I have overcome difficult times. The first tattoo I got was definitely a little of both. It is a pair of angel wings with my son's name; it is my favourite tattoo and will always be. Here is a pic of me and my O bear with the tat on my left shoulder:
I currently have 4 and am in the process of having my 5th one designed by my favourite tattoo artist. I have a few ideas. I found this image on the web (so if it is yours please let me know so I can give you credit!).
I absolutely love the roses and the placement but cannot find anything like how I want mine to be coloured or shaded. I also want to incorporate mom and dad into the tattoo. I'm thinking red but am a little nervous about the colour coming out wrong or the flowers turning out too cartoonish or too realistic. So for now, I will keep looking because I know that it will come up. I read somewhere that tattoos are always there, just waiting for the right time to surface on your body and I have never heard truer words. I'll keep you posted.

Accessorize It!
I'm on the hunt for a great black and gold statement necklace like the ones above. I'm really into yellow gold lately - can't seem to get enough of it. So much so that when my boyfriend (who shall now be referred to as my Italian Stallion for what reason I will divulge at a later date...) asked what I wanted for my birthday, I decided that a yellow gold piece of jewellery would be fabulous. He complied because he is a wonderful hunk of a man and that is why I love him. Now getting back to my love of yellow gold...Bold, statement, black necklace. I've found many choices on the net and they range in price. Since I'm a bargain hunter I settled on one from ebay for the incredible price of less than $6! It is a knockoff of one done by House of Harlow (the top image, which retails at over $150), but I think it will do nicely. What jewelry makes your heart go pitter patter?

Black & White
I love love love black and white together in an outfit. There's something bold and classic about it that I never get tired of. Here's another work outfit - cropped pants from Ricki's and a cowl neck (look familiar?) from Suzy Shier. The shoes are from Razor Barbie. Fierce. Hopefully someday I can manage better pics but for now you have to suffice with self portraits!

Great find
So I was totally in love with a pair of black cropped boots at Aldo, but I wasn't sure about the price - $110. Needless to say I was completely stoked to find these bad boys at Winners discounted to $29 on the weekend! And they are almost identical. The best part is that I may like them even more than the pair at Aldo. Like THAT ever happens!

Outfit of the Day
On the hunt
I have been on the hunt for a velour, somewhat constructed fit jacket. Thinking possibly a blazer style or military style jacket. One of the things that has to be a must is a jewel-tone - preferably in a deep teal or eggplant. I have looked everywhere, even resorting to images.google.com and have yet to find exactly what I am looking for in an affordable (read: super inexpensive) price range. Sigh. This always seems to happen to me. I think of something absolutely fabulous and just can't seem to find it. I may have to resort to rummaging through second-hand stores. I'll keep you posted...Here are a few ideas of the style I am looking for:
